Rini Tarigan was born in Medan, Indonesia, on the April 19th, 1974. She graduated from Faculty of Letters, Dutch Diploma Program (D3), University of Indonesia (A.M.D., 1997); Faculty of Law, University of Indonesia (S.H., 2004). Rini Tarigan has also passed the examination organized by Indonesian Advocates Association (Perhimpunan Advokat Indonesia/PERADI) on the January 24th, 2008. Membership: Indonesian Advocates Association (PERADI) No.10.00303.
She has been actively involved in regulation draft formulating and promotion through the seminar, workshop and panel discussion organized by some law firms and organizations or institutions; actively attending seminars on the topic of business and corporate law.
During her study, she was active as the member of Senat Mahasiswa Fakultas Sastra UI (SM-FSUI), as the member of Himpunan Mahasiswa Program Ekstensi Fakultas Hukum UI (HMPE-FHUI), and the volunteer for American Field Service’s (AFS) students exchange.
Prior to joining the firm on the September 5th, 2011, she worked at law firms that have specialization in Litigation, Family Law and Mining Law (2008-2011) and as an expert staff of Dewan Perwakilan Daerah (DPD) RI Panitia Ad Hoc (PAH) I and II (2006-2009).
