The Indonesian Negative Investment List (DNI) stipulates which business sectors are open for foreign investment and provide limitations to the shares ownership of foreign investors in Indonesian companies. This law encourages foreign investors to cooperate with local entrepreneur. We assisted many clients, either local or foreign company to establish a joint venture company and to prepare all legal documentation for the joint venture. It is our duty and responsibility to mitigate risks and secure the rights of our client with regards to their investment in Indonesia by carrying out research and legal due diligence on our client’s future business partner. Our recent major transactions, we advised Independent Steam Power Producer (IPP) Company from People’s Republic of China in forming a joint venture company with a local IPP company.
